The Tangoubukan participated in the Northern California Naginata Federation's 2015 Enbu Hajime on January 18 in the El Cerrito Community Center. The event started with a potluck lunch, then proceeded to the first official training of the year.

Chad Goerzen sensei ran the event, opening by running participants through a set from Tendo Ryu naginata, then splitting the class into two groups--one worked on Tendo Ryu and the other worked on Atarashii Naginata. The event concluded with demonstrations by each member.

Some events that the NCNF and Tangoubukan are expecting in 2015 include the following:

  • Keikogi-making workshop
  • Various public demonstrations
  • Participation in the International Naginata Federation (INF) World Championships
  • Spring Seminar/Workshop
  • Fall Seminar/Workshop and Tournament
  • Lots and lots of training

Happy New Year, everyone!
